ACER Extensa 5420 Docking

    ACER Tech's tell me that their ProDock 144 pin docking station is an optional accessory for my Extensa 5420. It appears that I would need to add a 144-pin docking port to the bottom of my Extensa (like the Travelmate has)
    Has anyone ever done this?
    It looks like I would have to modify or raplace the bottom cover of the laptop....
