No On Board Sound

    I have an Asus motherboard model # P4SGX-MX

    I did a clean install of windows 7 ultimate and I don't have any sound. I am using the onboard sound on the mother board. I went to Asus site and downloaded the drivers but that did not solve the problem. I also uninstall the sound drivers and re install still no sound. I let it use update to search for new drivers but it came back saying that the right drivers are installed. I just can't get the sound to work still have the speaker with the red X on the task bar saying: "No Audio Output Device is installed". Can anyone help me solve this problem?
