    Hello

I have a problem. I am working with a P4B533 Asus motherboard with a 2.4 ghz single core processor and a gig of RAM. The hard drive died and I replaced the dead Hard Drive with another drive from another computer.

Every time I attempted to turn on the computer, there would be a prompt in the DOS screen telling me to press any key to continue. I attempted to follow the prompt and nothing would happen. My keyboard was not being detected.

I used a purple connector for the keyboard. The same issue would occur. So I attempted to get into the BIOS from startup by holding down <del> on startup.

Both times, with the purple connector and the USB, I could not get into the BIOS. So I figured the only way to get into the BIOS was to reset the CMOS.
I did everything the manual said step by step.

Now every time I turn on the computer I get a display that says "P4B533". However, no BIOS. There is a green light on the Motherboard that indicates it is turned on. The keyboard does not respond to anything. Occasionally the monitor does not even respond.

I would like to get a professional opinion. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
