P4C800 deluxe USB 2 problems

    Have had this MB several years and USB2 has never worked. I am giving the computer to my daughter and would like USB2 to work. The CPU is a P4 2.4 that has been run successfully at 30% overspeed for years. It is now running at 2.4. Memory is Kingston p3200 DDR 1 gig. Operating system is XP SP2. Everything works except USB2. Bios has been upgraded as new ver. were available. Now running 1021.005. USB2 is selected in setup. When a USB2 device is plugged in I get"This USB device can perform faster if you connect to a Hi-Spd USB2 port", then checking the ports "There are no Hi-Spd USB host controllers installed on this computer." Checking Device Manager USB properties indicates drivers loaded and device is working properly. The operating system has been reloaded at least twice over the years & has just been reloaded with a new Hard Disk. This is driving me crazy. Any ideas out there?::confused:
