Problem Updating SoundMax Audio Driver

    Motherboard: ASUS K8V
    Current SoundMax Driver: Ver 5.12.1.3663
    Trying to update to: Ver 5.12.2.5280

    I'm trying to update my audio driver, but a manual install results in the following message:

    "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware."

    A similar post made here earlier suggested installing Service Pack 2, and that it was the culprit for this. I already have this service pack, but still the message comes up.

    What should I do? Can anyone help?
