Is this recommeded to do? This part is malfuntioning and I thought I might solder a new one in. I am having problems removing this part, though. I have spent 40 minutes trying to desolder the part. Do you recommend not to do this and get a new board?

    The board I'm removing the good ps/2 is a KBS-LA from a Compaq SR1463CL
I wanted to solder this part into a the motherboard with the bad ps/2 motherboard P4B-LX Compaq SR1222NX.

Don't ask me why don't I just install the KBS-LA into this machine, please. The motherboard cracked, but it has usable parts, I think ;-)

Any advice is appreciate it, thank you
